| The Excellence in Human Resources awards, sponsored by the Central New York
Society of Human Resource Management (CNY-SHRM) and the Manufactures Association
of Central New York (MACNY), are awarded to honor companies for demonstrated
innovation, leadership and excellence in the field of Human Resources.
On October 23, 2003, JGB received the overall 2003 “Excellence in Human
Resources” award amongst those companies with between 76 and 250 employees,
for the HR related management philosophies of the company, the dedication the
management team has to those philosophies and especially the value the company
places on its employees and its people-related programs.
A number of JGB employees were present at the awards luncheon where Coach
Jim Boehiem, Head Coach of the Syracuse University Men’s Basketball Team,
spoke about leadership on and off the basketball court.
Awards were also presented to a number of companies including Lockheed Martin
and St. Joseph’s Hospital were honored for their ”best-practices” in
specific Human Resource programs such as their Strategic Management and Work
Force Development Programs. |
